Info for New Members

Arundel Creative Embroiderers (ACE) is still a relatively new group. It was set up in November 2017 as Arundel and District Embroiderers’ Guild, but due to the main Embroidery Guild closing it’s regional branches in March 2021, it has now become an independent stitch group. ACE is organised by a steering group with the support of all its members. Membership is open to everyone who shares an interest in embroidery and textiles, whether an experienced embroiderer or a beginner keen to learn new techniques. Monthly meetings are held on the 4th week of each month. At least once a quarter we will have a speaker demonstrating their expertise in a specific technique or genre and other branch meetings will be ‘Simply Sewing’ afternoons when members can learn from each other and take part in branch joint projects.

Fees: Annual Membership of Arundel Creative Embroiderers – £35

(includes entrance fee to the monthly branch meetings)

All meetings are open to visitors at £5 per session. visitors may attend a maximum of 3 sessions before joining as a full member. Branch members have priority when booking a place at meetings and demonstrations.

In addition to group meetings a less formal ‘Stitch Club’ meeting is held on the 2nd week of each month. Members can work on individual projects or join in a group project. There is a cost of £5 per session which includes refreshments and a raffle will be held for donated items.

We hold the group meeting 2-4pm on the 4th Monday of the month at the Jubilee Room in the Arundel Museum, Mill Road, Arundel BN18 9PA and 2-4pm on the 2nd Monday of the month to Sit and Sew, at The Swan Hotel, 27-29 High Street, Arundel, BN18 9AG.
